Setting up home workshop

This is the place where all the repairs are being done...
Tried to keep this place clean, but it is certainly not the case when heavy duty work is required...
Bought and assembled a heavy duty shelves. Make sure you keep the heavy items at the bottom to prevent the shelves from falling on you. Try to organize the day to day tool in the most accessible shelve, put them all in a tool bag that should include only the tools you use most, i.e screw drivers (medium/large), hammers (medium/large), adjustable spanner, no 8,10,12 spanner, a cutter, long nose pliers etc...
Note on the side of the shelves the storage of clamps.
I also made use of that table top which has not been used for over a year. Couple of nails and hooks helped keep those tools tidy. These could be easily removed should the wooden table top be required on top of our glass top table, but so far, we never had the need of it, so better make use of it this way..

Removing stubborn scale from Kettle

Having to make my coffee this morning, that scale at the bottom of the kettle annoyed me...I was meant to clean it a while ago, but did not manage untill today...

Tip of the day: pour some vinegar in the kettle and heat it just for few seconds (5-10sec)...heated vinegar has more dissolving power than unheated vinegar, and this is the same principle used in the Oil Industry, for acidizing the wells...
Anyway, stop the kettle, and keep stirring the kettle to dissolve the scale at the bottom and sides...use a small brush for stubborn spots..

Et voila,,,as clean as new...

Let's just be thankful to Allah to give us the ideas to help us keep going in our day to day life...Suhbanaka la ilma lana illa ma allamtana...(..Subhanaka ya Allah, we have no Science/ Knowledge except what You taught us...)  [Baqarah 32]

Be thankful to be alive

Our duas go to the so many Mulsim people who died today...may Allah Have Mercy on them all..and may Allah Have Mercy on us, and on all the Muslims when we will reach what they have reached....

Today, my aunt Zina was buried....she died at age 60...when the news came to me yesterday evening, I felt sad to lose her...but in the same time, I felt so lucky that I was still alive, and still being able to worship Allah,,,and be thankful to Allah that He Allowed me to live for another hour, another day...

The clock is certainly ticking for us too...death is there to remind us about our final destiny and we should not get distracted by the dunya...yet, it is so difficult to keep focus on the akheera,,,this dunya is just absorbing us too much...may Allah Make us among the people of akheera and not among the people of dunya...

Let us thus not forget to be thankful to Allah for the fact that we are still alive, and we still have time to make tawbah, and worship Him for longer time....be thankful that we can still walk for a prayer, read from the Quran one more word....be thankful that our tongue can still make one remembrance, duas, dhikr...

Today, now, at this instant, let us just be very Thankful to Allah that we are still alive....may Allah Keep our live full of remembrance for Him and full of Ibadah....
